I thought I’d be nice to make a little list of some of the GNU/Linux games I’ve tried out this past year. I’ve tried to keep the list heterogeneous (different game genres, all from different producers, some freshly released and some quite older…).
I’ve also decided to only include commercial games in this post; if it gets positive feedback I may also post a list of my favourite free games.
Anyway, here it goes:

@ Martijn: I already mentioned HoN in Savage 2′s description. (However personally I didn’t get the hang out of it when I played it a few times as beta-tester).
@ Alan Pope: Yup, those pages could use quite some work (although I’ve found some interesting game in them, thanks for the pointer :)).
You may like Achron, it is an innovative meta-time RTS with full Linux support (though currently only 64 bit).

Shredder (chess) has linux versions of each major product

Minecraft is java-based and works just fine under Ubuntu if you install the Sun Java runtime (for all I know it might work on the default Java install too; I’ve never tried). It’s also extremely addictive; beware, if you have little time for games.

What about Prey? did you try it?
Savage: The Battle for Newerth has a Linux version as well and is gameplay wise more original and rewarding than Savage 2.
